Today was fun

I went to a meeting today organised by Close to My Heart's Pierre Gelinas, Director of Leadership Development - North America & General Manager - Canada and Julie Carriere Independent Consultant and Supervisor who created the watercolour workshop inspired by Tresa Black that we were eager to do. I walked away from the gathering feeling supported and with few new tricks to try out and expand on...worth the 4 hours on a Saturday.

Listening to 11 other people's history with the company, what works for them, what are their struggles was enlightening. Learning about best practices is refreshing and boosting for morale especially when you want to throw up your hands air and I now can say yep just push through it...

It is so great when we are all together in the same place.  People from as far away as Kingston, Montreal and Arnprior  and in some cases just reconnecting...or meeting for the first time face to face but you are Face Book friends for years...and we share.

Lots of good laughs not so many tears except when the project went a little awry for me...murky purple (when all the colours blend together to make a purple brown colour) was what we called it in my daycare teaching years...

Here are the 3 card projects that I completed in the workshop using our watercolor paints, brushes, watercolor paper, stamps and layering them all on black cardstock to make it pop.

Did you know that we carried these:

So if you are in need of just another trick for your mixed media, cardmaking or scrapbooking tool box well here it is...and these are the best tools...just add water...

Be creative as often as you can
